The Alfa 2000 came out in 4 different guises between 1957 and 1976. 1 example is detailed here. The original was a successor to the 1900. First shown in 1957 at the Turin Auto Salon, the car was produced in two models from 1958, the 105hp saloon Berlina and the 115hp Spider. In 1960, the Sprint was added.

The Sprint engine was an enlarged version of the 1900´s four-cylinder displacing 1975 ccm. The four-door Berlina was manufactured by Alfa itself, while the two others were designed and manufactured by the design companies Touring (Spider) and Bertone (Sprint).

2,893 Berlina saloons, 3,459 Spiders and 700 Sprints were produced. The 2000 was replaced by the six-cylinder Alfa 2600, produced from 1961. The later version 2000 was produced from 1971-1976 and was a development of the 1968 1750 Berlina model. 89,840 of these were produced.
