Top 5 Reasons The New Fiat 500x Will Work In Australia

Top 5 Reasons The New Fiat 500x Will Work In Australia
Pete Accini

The new Fiat 500x is nearly here and we’re pretty excited about. Why, well here are our top 5 reasons:

  1. It’s not a wannabe SUV
The 500x looks like a great urban tool with added ability to trek of the beaten track if required. It’s not trying too hard to look rough, tough and ready for anything.
  2. It’s not too big
Unlike a lot of cars in this segment the new Fiat 500x looks small and manageble. It’s no bigger than a standard hatchback but has much more presence and better visibility.
  3. Fiat 500 DNA
MINI have famously flogged the life out of once winning formula. The bloated Countyman and 5-door versions have stretched any goodwill towards the diminutive Brit to breaking point. Not so the Fiat 500x. For us it takes just the right amount of styling cues from its baby brother without aping or over egging.
  4. Affordability
We don’t know the actual pricing of the 500x yet but reports suggest that it’ll start from under $30k and we think that will hit a price sweet spot right between the eyes.
  5. It’s not a Holden Trax or Ford Ecosport or Nissan Juke
The design of a small SUV is a very difficult trick to pull off. Designers have to get a chunky, high-riding style on a very short wheelbase. The big boys have really struggled here with the Holden Trax and Ford Ecosport being especially hard on the eyes. Fiat have achieved it beautifully – its the best looking car in its class by far.
